To round out our discussion of change tracking, it is worth spending a short while considering how it can be used from within client code . Microsoft has introduced the Sync Framework, which includes ADO .NET Sync Services . The sync adapter was introduced prior to SQL Server 2008 . With SQL Server 2005, it typically detected table changes by using a series of triggers . The sync adapter has been updated to use change tracking in SQL Server 2008 when available . In the remainder of this section, we ll work through the creation of a simple Windows Forms application that syncs with our HR .Employees table, by following these basic steps: 1. Create a new Windows Forms application in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 . I will use the C# language in this example, but very little coding is required, and the Visual Basic language is just as easy to use for this application . 2.
